Do I need a license to play Tunify?

When you play music for commercial purposes or in a public environment, you’ll need a “public performance” right license with your local collection societies. It doesn't matter whether you are using CDs, the radio or a Tunify subscription. As the business owner, you always request these licenses yourself.

Did you know that music services for consumers (like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube Music and Google Play Music) are only intended to listen to music in private? Use of these services by a business may lead to a fine. For your business, you need to use a service like Tunify. We have an agreement with the music industry that allows you to use our music service in public and commercial spaces (but you still need your own public performance right license). Visit our Music Right page for more information.

Why choose Tunify over Spotify or Apple Music for business use?

Tunify is a music service, specifically designed for businesses. Music streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music are only intended for private use. Using these services for commercial use as a business or in a public area may lead to fines. Tunify offers fully legal streaming and is just as easy to operate as the services you use in your personal life. With Tunify your business is protected against potential fines while helping you play the songs and sounds that set the right tone – with just one click or tap.
